James Reid has worked in Information Technology for over 25 years, holding top cybersecurity leadership positions in organizations across verticals such as banking and finance, software development, corporate services, and specialty retail. His roles have included acting CISO, deputy CISO, and VP of Security for firms with revenue of up to $450M. He has spent about half of his career working for prominent security-related organizations.
The breadth of his experience gives James an in-depth understanding of cybersecurity from multiple perspectives. He has facilitated security audits on behalf of companies being audited; he has also developed and implemented internal audit programs for suppliers, providers, and vendors. James has led cybersecurity and risk steering committees for multiple companies and has served as a pro bono advisor for non-profits focusing on cybersecurity and business alignment.
